You forgot Samurai Jack! I'll admit that Jonny Quest was a HUGE crush of mine when I was in 2nd grade.

I LOVE Tom and Jerry, though. Great animation, clever storylines, cool jazzy soundtracks - and Oscar winners, to boot. :-)

My other favorites were Jetsons, Woody Woodpecker (no freakin' DVDs yet! GRRRR), Looney Tunes. In college, I got a particular kick out of watching Dr. Katz (no DVDs for him, either! GRRR).

How could I have forgotten Samurai Jack! It's one of the most beautifully illustrated cartoons out there.

I liked Dr. Katz and also The Critic. I'd buy either of those on DVD.

I like The Family Guy. I've also been meaning to start watching SpongeBob. I've never really watched it but I LOVED the movie!

One cartoon I wish I could see again is The Pink Panther. I wonder if I'd still like it. It was strangely amusing.

Pharmgirl

One for you AND the kiddies: Fairly Odd Parents. It's loaded with pop culture references and adult humor. Very amusing!

Bitterkat - YES, I had forgotten about the Pink Panther!

Loved all these cartoons -- add to my faves Josie & the Pussycats in Outerspace (because the show wasn't far-out enough) and Captain Caveman & the Teen Angels! Today the best is Family Guy.

The non-animated giant freaky puppets of Sid & Marty Kroft's trippy creations (i.e. Sigmund the Sea Monster) were also big Saturday morning entertainment.

Keith Povall

As a kid, I loved Huckleberry Hound, Pixie and Dixie and Top Cat. Recently, it was Eek the Cat and I think it was called Terrible Thunder Lizards (made by the same people I discovered.

I utterly hated the Charlie Brown cartoon, every single frame of those cartoons.

Huts

Some others I can remember:
Monchichi's
M.A.S.K.
Transformers
Care Bears
Mr. T
Hong Kong Phooey
Grape Ape
The one with 'Wonder Twins'
Fantastic 4
Mighty Mouse
Underdog
Rocky & Bullwinkle
Voltron
Thunder Cats
GI Joe
X-Men

I think I watched too much TV!

cj

Fat Albert was a fave cartoon. Do the short Schoohouse Rock toons count?
